Over the weekend commit to fasting of something for a day (electronics, food, social media, etc.)

Living in our culture of MORE, fasting has become a foreign concept for many of us. We’ve grown attached to so many things that we don’t know how to live without them. Even though we’re gripping them, they actually have a tighter grip on us than we realize. What we look to for significance, distraction, and comfort will be different for all of us. Only you know what that “thing” is for you. Take a break from it for one day this weekend. Anytime you’re tempted to turn to it say a prayer to God. Replace the time you would spend on it by spending those moments in God’s presence.
