If you didn’t get a chance to hear the message at church yesterday, you’re going to want to stop what you’re doing right now and go check it out by clicking here!
Seriously, carve out some time this week to listen. You will be so glad you did.
Carlos shared his story with us and was completely vulnerable about his life and struggles, specifically his “spider.” Carlos’ defined a spider is “an agreement with a lie you believe.” Your spider is essentially the root or source of your struggle. He also talked about cobwebs, which are the things that we try to do to cope with our struggles. He defined a cobweb as “any medicator that brings false comfort to that lie.”
His message was simple yet powerful. We must identify the source of our issues in order to experience freedom. In his message, Carlos shared steps to help us identity the “spider” in our lives.
After you’ve listened to the message, I want to encourage you to take the time to really reflect and do the homework this week (identify your spider and lay it at the cross). Your walk with God is more important to us than anything else and we really mean that. It’s important to us that you are being poured into through attending services on Sunday, having a quiet time with God, surrounding yourself with a community of believers and seeking wise counsel when you need it.
We believe whole-heartedly that our ministry flows from our walk. Therefore, our individual relationships with God have to be our priority. If there is anything that we can do to help or to walk alongside of you more intentionally, please let us know! We are here for you!
